At K-9 Country we believe that training your dog should instill a better understanding of how to communicate with your dog rather than a frustrating struggle.  We will cater to your dogs temperament and drives to create a happy and obedient member of your family.
Our trainers are well educated in dog behavior and have competed in all types of dog sports and show rings and have trained with multiple police departments' K-9 units.  We believe it is essential for your dog to enjoy it's training in order to be a happy and reliable pet.  We offer all types of training classes to suit your needs and interests:

BOARD-N-TRAIN  
This is a perfect opportunity for people who would really like their dog trained but either lack the time or are unable to do the training themselves.  Board-n-Train is a two week program in which your dog stays with us and will be taught the essential obedience commands:  sit, down, heel, come, sit-stay, down-stay and wait.  You will be able to visit your dog during his/her stay and at the end of the two weeks you and your family will be shown everything your dog has learned and instruction on how to continue the training throughout you and your companion's relationship.  If you need us to work on specific behavioral problems or just a refresher course for your four-legged buddy we can customize a two week program for you!
Board-n-Train starts at $600 for two weeks of basic obedience.  This includes boarding, training, food & treats and any special needs your canine might have during his/her stay.

PRIVATE CLASSES
A great way to work on specific behavioral problems you are having with your dog one-on-one with a trainer.  Anything from dominant to overly submissive personalities, from aggression to jumping.  These classes are set up for you upon consultation and begin at $35 for each 45 minute session.

GROUP OBEDIENCE CLASSES
We offer two levels of obedience classes:

Beginners which meets Tuesday evenings at 6:00PM and is $10 per class.  This class is designed for puppies at least 6 months of age or any adult dogs needing to learn the basics of obedience such as sitting, staying, ect.

Intermediate/Advanced which meets Wednesday evenings at 6:00PM and is also $10 per class.  This class focuses on "off-leash" control and some personal protection.  You do need to have good "on-leash" control and communication with your dog to attend this class.

PERSONAL PROTECTION
We offer this type of training for people or families that want to feel confident that their dog will protect them and act appropriately in defensive situations whether it be in your home, in your car or on a walk.  We train our dogs with confidence building techniques that not only enhance the bond between you and your dog, but also increase their ability to be social, friendly and stable with children, house guests and dogs in different situations.  This type of training is not suitable for all dogs.  They must possess the temperament and drive necessary to learn protection techniques.  If you are interested in a dog bred specifically for this kind of training we can assist you in your search!  (You can also refer to our dogs for sale page.)  Please call for a free evalution and pricing information.
